Pennsylvania super delegate skips Clinton campaign stop for sleep study

The reported that one of Pennsylvania’s coveted super delegates, Ian Murray, had to by presidential hopeful Senator Hillary Clinton (D-NY) to . It seems the health care became the focus for the super delegate in a personal way.

Murray, a lawyer who is described in the Times-News’ article as “committed to supporting Clinton,” told the newspaper yesterday that he’s “not switching over to Sen. Barack Obama’s side.” Murray’s health took priority over presidential politics.

According to the Eric Times-News, Murray said he had a medical appointment that required an overnight stay at a sleep apnea clinic in Erie.

The paper reported that Murray arrived home Wednesday afternoon, and, as is normal, awaiting the results from the sleep study.

Murray told the paper that “assured the Clinton campaign he was still supporting Clinton.”

Although Murray couldn’t be at the rally, his wife, Betsy, an elected Pennsylvania Democratic Committee member, attended the rally and saw Clinton before her speech Tuesday night, the paper reported Ian Murray as saying.
