Awake In America’s offices temporarily closed

Awake In America’s offices are temporarily closed and operating on a limited basis.

With our offices operating on a limited basis, we are not accepting relief program applications, nor are we accepting equipment donations while our offices are temporarily closed.

We will resume normal operations when the Executive Director returns from emergency medical leave.

About Awake In America

Awake In America is a national non-profit (501c3) organization focused on sleep and sleep disorders. The Philadelphia, Pennsylvania-based organization, chartered in 2004, operates a variety of programs, including charity programs to assist individuals obtain free or low-cost sleep studies to diagnose sleep apnea; a program to help individuals in need, who have been
diagnosed with sleep apnea obtain equipment to treat their sleep disorder; a disaster assistance program to assist individuals who have lost their equipment to treat their sleep apnea in a federally-declared disaster; among other programs and outreach efforts.

Another mission of Awake In America is to help others around the country to quickly and easily launch community education and support groups focused on sleep and sleep disorders. The groups are independent of the organization and are run by group coordinators. Group coordinators must abide by basic rules and guidelines when using the Awake In America site for hosting their group’s information, but past that, all groups are operated as the coordinator determines, not Awake In America.

Steve, it isn’t that we are out of business, which would be a permanent situation, but rather operating on a limited status.

Keep watching for updates, but also watch for postings from the world of sleep medicine to resume in the near future. The postings will resume prior to our operations.
