John L. Miclot, CEO of Philips Home Healthcare Solutions, announced during the Medtrade Keynote Panel discussion last week that he had resigned from Respironics/Philips, effective in two weeks.
Miclot will head up Clearwater, Fla-based CCS Medical, a nationwide provider of various home care staples such as insulin pumps, incontinence products, and respiratory equipment.

Respironics, Inc, a medical device company started in the kitchen of founder Gerald (Jerry) and Audrey McGinnis, which later grew into a billion dollar company, announced the official opening of its new customer relations building in Plum Borough, PA., in observance of National Customer Service Appreciation Week.
The medical device company celebrated the opening with a dedication honoring founder Gerald “Jerry” McGinnis’s wife, Audrey. After all, it was in Audrey’s kitchen that Jerry started a business that would grow to a billion dollar company.

was 306,340,710. Sleep researchers estimate approximately seven percent
of the population suffers from obstructive sleep apnea. Using that
estimate, there are potentially 21,443,850 apneics in the U.S.
